About

Joshua attended the University of Illinois Chicago where he received a Bachelor's degree in Photography. After working for several years freelancing and as a campus photographer for UIC, he then went on to attend the renowned Public Affairs Reporting program at the University of Illinois Springfield where he received his master's degree in broadcast and multimedia journalism and gained valuable experience covering state politics. He worked as a photojournalist for the USA TODAY NETWORK-Wisconsin at the Green Bay Press-Gazette covering communities in the northeastern part of the state. He left in 2019 to return to his alma mater as a photographer for marketing and communications at the University of Illinois Chicago covering one of the nation's most diverse public research universities. In the fall of 2022, he had the honor to serve the great people of Chicago as Mayor Lori Lightfoot's lead photographer and is now continuing this work under Mayor Brandon Johnson.
